Synopsis

{NBA + no System + owner story + rewriting Kobe and the Lakers’ fate}

In 2012, old man Buss was in the final stages of cancer, and the Lakers were about to assemble an aging F4!

Cai Baokun arrived in Los Angeles as a chosen one who had transmigrated back in time. He bought the Lakers outright and tore up the Nash-Howard trade!

He took over as head coach and built the team around “small ball + hard rim protection.”

He would prevent 34-year-old Kobe from tearing his Achilles, the Purple and Gold from languishing for a decade, and LeBron James from eventually eclipsing Kobe and riding the Lakers’ prestige to complete the 411 project and crown himself the greatest of all time.

Kobe would win his sixth title and show the world that you don’t need shortcuts or a superteam to win a championship.

The Lakers of the future would build a dynasty that surpassed anything in history!

Some Normal Basketball Stories, Please

Something more realistic, please. Don't have someone shatter the basketball hoop with a dunk and leave the whole crowd stunned every other chapter. The league rules have prohibited shattering the hoop since 1993, and it results in no points and a foul. Even in a novel, things should make sense.

Looking for a Story About Gradually Making It in the NBA, Not One Where the Protagonist Starts With All Kinds of System Cheats

I'm tired of overpowered protagonists, all kinds of Systems, and all kinds of wish-fulfillment stories. I'm fine with someone being reborn, a coach who can predict the future, or a player who reaches the top through intelligence and talent, step by step.
