Drunk on Love

[Older man + marriage first, love later + sweet romance + high status and power] The day her childhood friend teases her, Bo Si unexpectedly walks into Yu Yang’s world. “My family background is spotless, my net worth is higher than that of the richest people on the Forbes list, and I’m faithful in relationships. If you’re willing, we could give being a couple a try.” Yu Yang is baffled. Do men have to go out and solicit customers themselves these days? When she learns that he’s Bo Si, the heir to the most powerful and prominent family in Jingbei, Yu Yang’s mother immediately calls to urge her: “That’s how a girl should be. If you’re going to marry, marry someone who’s already a good person, not just someone who treats you well. Even if you fall out of love, he’ll still give you the treatment and respect you deserve.” As it happens, Yu Yang agrees completely. Love might betray her, but the Bo family’s money and status never will. Trading love for a life of security is a great deal. So Yu Yang and Bo Si hit it off and went straight to register their marriage. After her mother remarries, Yu Yang moves into the Huo family home and unexpectedly catches the eye of a powerful young heir in Beijing’s elite circle. All the socialites in the capital are waiting for Yu Yang to be thrown out. But the aloof Mr. Bo is either flirting with Yu Yang or on his way to do so. “Are you resting, honey? I’m in the shower. Want to video call?” “You like meat, honey? Good, I don’t like eating vegetables either.” Behind the scenes at the capital’s most prestigious film and television awards, a reporter captures a scene that shocks the entire city. The powerful young heir strokes Yu Yang’s chin, the corners of his eyes red. “You dressed up so beautifully, darling. Are you hoping we’ll pick up where we left off tonight?” Yu Yang’s little face flushes with embarrassment. She never imagined that Bo Si, who acts so shamelessly in public, would be even more like a wolf in a handsome man’s skin around her.
