Civil Servant, but in an Infinite Game

At two in the morning, low-ranking civil servant Lin Wantang received a mysterious notification at her desk:

[You have been selected for the “Human Civilization Preservation System.” Your first instance will begin in three minutes.]

She didn't panic. First, she looked up Article 23 of the Emergency Management Regulations for Unexpected Incidents.

Then she replied, “Please submit the legal basis for establishing this System within three working days. Late submissions will not be accepted.”

The next second, she was pulled into a blood-red abandoned village.

The villagers were deranged, and ghosts ran rampant.

While the other players grabbed weapons and fought for their lives, she pulled out her employee ID and found an invalidated Abandoned Village Redevelopment Plan in the village Party secretary's office. Then she picked up her pen and rewrote it.

“Whereas irregular procedures have caused abnormalities in our village...”

“Having been approved by the villagers' representatives' meeting and submitted to the authorities for the record...”

“We hereby apply to restart the redevelopment process. Please approve.”

The moment the final official seal came down, the entire instance collapsed.
