The Nameless Reverse Blade

Spy thriller + Republican-era China + agents + mystery and deduction + careful planning + high-IQ mind games + undercover work + no romance

In 1934, Shanghai was shrouded in turmoil.

Shen Yan, a proofreader at a small newspaper, was an ordinary man with just two extraordinary qualities: a photographic memory and an unmatched talent for keeping his abilities hidden.

A circle-shaped coded message, a ragtag team of five, and an assassination that would shake the world. He killed the traitor in three seconds, and the mission was complete.

But then his comrades were brutally killed, the whole city put under lockdown, and an inescapable net closed around him overnight.

At last, he saw the truth: the assassination was a sham, and the real goal was to test him. The team was bait, and he was the prey.

No power, no influence, no backing. No party, no faction, no support.

From then on, Shanghai would never again know Shen Yan the proofreader. Only an unnamed, solitary blade would walk the line between light and darkness.

Every step calculated, every situation a dead end. Walking both sides, with everyone playing their own game.

While the winter crows stay silent, the night endures. When the lone blade is drawn, the land will finally see the light.
