Pokemon: An Eevee That Can Transform from the Start

Other people's Eevee evolve with stones. I evolve with my ears. Fire, Water, Electric, Ice, Grass, Psychic, Dark, Steel, Rock: nine forms, switchable at any time, with no cooldown. The price is that I eat three times as much as an ordinary Pokemon. Every day, I open my eyes and immediately look for food. The Rattata in the industrial district say I've taken over their den. The Victreebel in the botanical garden nearly digested me into juice. Primeape's punches hurt like hell, and I can't dodge Pidgeotto's dives in time. But I'm not afraid. I turn into a Steel-type Eevee to tank poison needles, become Glaceon to release a fog and make a getaway, or turn into Flareon and singe their feathers. If I can't win, I become Vaporeon and slip into the sewers. The Grimer nod at me. When I'm hungry, I go to the haunted house to help Gengar scare people in exchange for snacks. Jigglypuff treats me to energy bars. I wander, fight, and make friends all along the way. Luxray says I'm the craziest Eevee it's ever met. Arcanine says I have the makings of a police dog. Lucario says my aura is a mess, but it's powerful. I thought I'd keep wandering forever. Until that man said, “You don't have to run anymore.” I believed him. Was that the right thing to do?
