The sky screen suddenly appeared high above the Three Realms, revealing two entirely different paths of fate.
Laozi was the eldest, Yuanshi the second, and Tongtian the youngest.
Everyone said Yuanshi was aloof, domineering, and cold-hearted, always picking on his younger brother Tongtian and keeping his elder brother Laozi at a distance. But when the sky screen showed the past and the future, everyone was stunned to discover the truth.
In the private setting's world, second brother Yuanshi was born with a fragile origin and a frail Dao body. He was cool and gentle, and willingly burned away his own origin, sacrificing his life to protect his two brothers. In the end, his soul was completely destroyed.
In the original world, Yuanshi wasn't cold or hostile. He simply cared deeply but didn't know how to be gentle. Every harsh word, argument, and forceful restriction was clumsy concern taken to the extreme. Though he only wanted to protect his brothers, he ended up pushing them away. He lost the Investiture of the Gods calamity, lost his family for the rest of his life, and met a lonely, regretful end.
Laozi and Tongtian witnessed their second brother's (second eldest's) sincerity and tragedy with their own eyes. Their confusion gave way to heartache, and all the barriers of the past vanished.
The sky screen revealed all living beings, and fate could be changed. This time, they would not let him slip away. They would do everything to protect their second brother, whose words were hard but whose heart was soft, who was fragile yet endured in silence. They would defy heaven and change his fate, protecting the Three Pure Ones for a lifetime.
