Are You Crazy? You Call This an Orchard? It's Full of Divine Beasts!

“Shen Mu, you call this an orchard?!”

When experts from the provincial forestry department and the police opened the gate to Shen Mu’s home, everyone gasped.

In the yard, an Asian black bear over two meters tall lay on its back, all four paws in the air, basking in the sun;

In the branches, a golden pheasant and a crested ibis, both nationally protected first-class species, were arguing over a loach;

Outside the gate, a corgi stood at the head of two neat rows of seven rare Asian dhole dogs, all waiting for “inspection”;

Beyond the wall, one of fewer than four hundred Qinling brown pandas left in the world was munching bamboo, with three little bundles nestled in its arms!

Shen Mu wiped the dirt from his hands and sighed helplessly. “Officer, I really am just a farmer who came back to the village to grow kiwifruit. They’re the ones who insist on staying here.”

Ever since he gained the ability to hear animals’ thoughts, Shen Mu’s three-hundred-mu stretch of barren hills had become the “ultimate sanctuary” for all the wild animals in the Qinling Mountains.

He treats their illnesses and injuries, and cooks them delicious food.

Poachers dare to come? The police won’t even need to get involved. One slap from the black bear will teach them a lesson, the monkeys will pelt them from above, and the dholes will track them for a thousand li!

The whole internet is in an uproar: We told you to go back to the village and farm, and you went and built a base for mythical beasts?!
