Zhengde: My Empire Must Expand to the Ends of the Earth

I have ascended the throne. The civil officials control me, the vassal kings watch me, and the Tatars bully me. If I don't pretend to be mad and foolish, how am I supposed to survive? I'll play along for now, then seize the reins of power. Sooner or later, this realm will be my hunting ground!

The civil officials won't let me wage war? Then I'll do it anyway! If those Tatar brats dare to seize my people, I'll wipe out their tribes. The grasslands will be mine!

The great clans hoard my people and swallow my land, while the vassal kings covet my throne. If I don't uproot you all, being emperor will be unbearable! Census, land surveys, and reducing the vassal kings' power: not one step can be skipped!

Joseon plays both sides, and Japan allows its pirates to run rampant. They all deserve to die! I want the peninsula to become a Ming protectorate, and Japan to disappear from the world. Liu Jin, this is your assignment. Make sure it's done cleanly!

This territory isn't enough for me. The lands overseas are all up for grabs. My realm will stretch to the ends of the earth! Great clans and vassal kings, go overseas and carve out territory for me. Take as much land as you have the ability to claim!

In this life, I have been absurd, ruthless, and expansionist. My realm now stretches to the ends of the earth, and my wish is fulfilled. May this golden age be just as I envisioned!
