Dream of the Red Chamber: My Father Is Lin Ruhai, and I Beat Baoyu from the Start

[Dream of the Red Chamber + Political intrigue + Protective + Satisfying read + Pure intellectual domination + Face-slapping + No saintly do-gooder] Lin Yuan transmigrated into the world of Dream of the Red Chamber as the eldest legitimate son of Lin Ruhai, an imperial salt censor, and the elder brother of Lin Daiyu. His mother, Jia Min, had just died, and the Matriarch Jia had sent people to bring Daiyu to the capital. Having read the story of Dream of the Red Chamber, Lin Yuan gave a cold laugh. Go to the Jia family? To that den of wolves where “all three hundred and sixty days a year, she faced the biting winds and frost swords”? No way! Absolutely not! From the start, he intercepted the ship sent to fetch her and, carrying the emperor’s sword of authority, kicked Jia Lian and a group of servants into the canal! The Jia family schemed to seize the Lin family’s entire fortune? Lin Yuan hit back by raiding the Jia family’s illicit businesses in Jiangnan, leaving Jia She and Jia Zheng utterly bankrupt! Madam Wang tried to sabotage them in secret? Lin Yuan had Xue Pan thrown straight into a death-cell, putting an end to any hope of a golden match! Jia Baoyu wanted to see his divine little sister? Lin Yuan slapped him hard. “You think you’re worthy of looking at my sister?” From the salt administration in Jiangnan to the shifting currents of the imperial court, Lin Yuan planned every step, entered government through the imperial examinations, and climbed rapidly through the ranks. No cultivation, no System, no advanced technology. With his crafty methods and iron-fisted resolve, Lin Yuan carved out a path through the feudal bureaucracy by force! Lin Ruhai: “My son has the makings of a chief minister. The Lin family will flourish!” Lin Daiyu: “My brother is the best person in the world. Anyone who schemes against him will lose everything!” The Jia family: “That demon of the Lin family is untouchable. Truly untouchable!”
