After Dying of Overwork in the ER, I Switched to Selling Breakfast

After working 72 straight hours on duty, emergency physician Ji Yuanzhou suffers cardiac arrest and comes within a hair’s breadth of death.

When he wakes up, he does two things: hands in his resignation and takes over a rundown shop in an urban village.

Everyone thinks he has lost his mind, until this bizarre breakfast shop, which opens at two in the afternoon and charges 88 yuan for a steamer of buns, begins causing a sensation across the city.

“Your liver is running hot and your kidneys are weak. These buns will save you three trips to the hospital. If they’re too expensive, get lost.”

The former doctor, playing games in his slippers, doesn’t even look up.

The customers grumble as they pay, then come back to queue again the next day.

After all, this is the only shop in the world where one breakfast can cure an old ailment.
