Doomsday Academy: A Diary of Watching My Archrival

[Two female leads] [Both pure] [One-sided sworn enemies] [Post-apocalyptic wasteland] [Superpowers] [Isolated academy] [Sentinels and Guides] Overpowered, fiercely loyal troublemaker Sentinel Feng Zhao × calculating, forever-rational top student Guide Yan Wuning In the year XX26 of the Old Calendar, a strange infection known as “Spirit Erosion” swept across the globe. Civilization collapsed, cities became ruins, and the air filled with virus-laden Spirit-Erosion mist that seeped in everywhere. The virus didn’t simply attack the body. It directly infected the human mind, turning negative emotions, obsessions, fears, and more into highly aggressive monsters known as “Erosion Beasts.” A tiny fraction of humanity reached the brink of infection and developed a strange symbiosis between their minds and the virus, awakening special abilities that let them fight the Erosion Beasts. After years of social collapse, the survivors discovered that adolescents between the ages of fourteen and eighteen had a high chance of awakening these abilities if properly trained. And so, academies dedicated to training Superpower users to fight the Erosion Beasts sprang up around the world. Under a semi-military system, students capable of carrying out missions as adults were divided into “Sentinels,” whose senses and combat abilities were exceptional, and “Guides,” who provided Sentinels with mental guidance and cleansed them of Erosion toxins. Our story takes place at Yujang Academy, an isolated school on an island deep in the East China Sea.
