【Dual male leads + both each other's first and only + love at first sight + forced romance + bittersweet sweetness】 【Cool, aloof beauty as the uke x domineering, ruthless, unhinged emperor as the seme】 Also known as: “Aren't You the Supreme Emperor? How Did You Become My Dog?” Su Qingyan is an inconspicuous illegitimate son of the prime minister's household. His birth mother died young, and he grew up treading carefully in the sprawling estate. Gentle and aloof, with stunning looks, all he wants is to pass the imperial exams and establish a household of his own. But after one fateful glimpse, the emperor falls in love with him at first sight. Without asking whether Su Qingyan consents, the emperor issues an imperial decree and forcibly brings him into the palace, taking him to bed night after night. - Everyone knows the current emperor, Xiao Jingyuan, has no interest in women. Yet one day, he summons the prime minister's illegitimate son to the palace and makes him his imperial consort. The entire court is thrown into an uproar. After entering the palace, Su Qingyan feels nothing but humiliation and shame. He spent more than a decade studying by lamplight, only to be forcibly locked away in the palace by the emperor before he could even pass the exams, reduced to a prisoner in a cage. With nowhere to vent his anger, all that remains is resentment and cold detachment. - At first, Xiao Jingyuan is possessive and domineering, mistaking love for ownership and tightening his grip at every turn. He wears Su Qingyan down until his heart turns to ashes and his true feelings freeze over. Only when he sees the one he loves become utterly indifferent, without a trace of feeling, does he belatedly come to his senses. He was once so forceful; now he is every bit as humble. The emperor sets aside his dignity, bows his head to win him over, treats him tenderly, indulges him in every way, and tries to make amends. “Qingyan, I was wrong.” “Qingyan, please talk to me.” Su Qingyan's resentment remains, and he deliberately keeps his distance. But the emperor indulges him in everything, humbles himself before him, and has eyes only for him.
