That wasn’t enough to qualify for an egg from the legendary tier. Epic was the best he could hope for.
Born into an ordinary family, Su Fei couldn’t afford to hire a guide to catch wild Pokémon, much less buy an egg through the black market. He knew full well that his life had only one path: rely on the allocation, rely on luck, and hope for the best from an egg whose contents were a mystery.

Su Fei received the egg nobody wanted: grayish-white shell, chaotic patterns, and incubation requirements listed as “unknown.”
Three days later, on the night of the blood moon,
the shell cracked, and a little black-and-white wolf pup crawled out.
A Shiny Demon Wolf.
People on the forums said it was photoshopped, that it didn’t even exist. But Su Fei knew it did. In his previous life, he’d traded his life for it.
