Maoshan Uncle Nine: Chronicles of the Corpse Suppression

A sudden corpse reanimation strikes Qingshui Town. White-haired zombies roam at night, and the townsfolk live in fear. Daoist Lin Jiu of Maoshan arrives with his disciples Qiusheng and Wencai to guard the funeral home and suppress evil with Daoist arts. What seems like an ordinary case of reanimated corpses turns out to be part of a shocking conspiracy. In secret, heretical cultivators refine corpses and raise poisonous worms, controlling black-haired zombies to wreak havoc on towns and villages. They seek to harness the sinister energy in the ley lines and ascend to demonic power. Lin Jiu stands firm in the righteous way of Maoshan, wielding a peachwood sword and talismans as he fights black-haired zombies, breaks poisonous spells, and suppresses sinister forces. After several bloody battles, he badly wounds the heretics, but they escape by sheer luck, leaving countless dangers in their wake. Unwilling to accept defeat, the heretics summon the demonic master of corpse and worm arts, Master Withered Corpse. Leading a horde of countless corpse-worms, he lays siege to Qingshui Town, and the battle between good and evil is about to begin. At great cost to his Daoist foundations, Lin Jiu performs Maoshan's Heavenly Dipper Righteous Art to slay demonic cultivators and quell the corpse outbreak. But he unexpectedly uncovers a secret beneath the earth: the skeleton of an ancient Corpse King lies dormant there, its baleful energy reaching the heavens. If it ever emerges, it will bring catastrophe to the mortal world. No sooner have the demonic cultivators retreated than the remnants of the Xiangxi demonic sect return. Four demonic cultivators forge copper-armored ferocious corpses and a King of Ten Thousand Poisons, bringing their army to the town's gates to break open the tomb, release what lies sealed within, and bathe the entire town in blood. With Lin Jiu gravely wounded and in seclusion, Qiusheng and Wencai are entrusted with the town's defense in its hour of peril. When Lin Jiu emerges from seclusion, he faces the countless demonic troops alone. The righteous energy of the Three Pure Ones upholds heaven and earth; Maoshan's Daoist arts destroy demons and evil. From reanimated corpses in the streets to terror in ancient tombs, from battles between righteous and evil cultivators to the crisis of the Corpse King, Lin Jiu wields his peachwood sword and uses all his Maoshan arts to eradicate the world's sinister forces, suppress monsters in every direction, and protect the people, writing a stirring legend of Maoshan's fight against evil.
