Great Qin: The Three-Year-Old Lucky Charm Has the First Emperor Wrapped Around Her Finger

[Great Qin + everyone's darling + adorable baby + blessed child + luck from heaven + satisfying revenge + no goody-two-shoes]

The King of Qin swept across the six kingdoms. How mighty he was, like a tiger surveying its prey!

With the realm newly unified and Xianyang standing in all its grandeur, Emperor Qin Shi Huang Ying Zheng commanded the four seas. His heart alone remained as hard as iron, unmoved by tenderness.

That is, until Meng Tian found a dirty, shivering three-year-old girl in the northern wastelands, starving and near death.

Wrapped in scraps of cloth, with half a gnawed wild potato in her hands, she had been abandoned in a burial ground haunted by wolves, too frightened even to cry.

Meng Tian casually rescued her. That very night, a well that had been dry for three months at the military camp burst with water.

Ying Zheng casually said, “Keep her here for now.” The next day, rain poured down on Xianyang for the first time in six months.

A coincidence?

Chancellor Li Si didn't believe it, so he placed the little blessing next to a granary. By morning, even the old rice inside smelled fresh again.

The Imperial Physician didn't believe it, so he had the little girl touch the withered seedlings in the medicinal garden. Three days later, six mushrooms had sprouted where they had seemed completely dead.

The Minister of Justice didn't believe it, so he took the little girl to inspect a mine. It collapsed right before their eyes, revealing an entire untouched vein of copper ore.

Ying Zheng: “...Bring her onto my lap.”

From then on, this tiny, big-eyed child who spoke in a sweet, babyish voice became the most precious treasure in all of Great Qin.

Running short on grain? Susu points to a barren field, and the next year's harvest triples.

War breaks out? Susu makes a couple of gestures over the sand table, and the enemy army cuts off its own supply lines.

Someone plots to assassinate the First Emperor? Susu insists on tugging at her father's sleeve that day, keeping him from leaving, and the assassin misses his chance.

An emperor destined to be remembered for millennia issues orders with a scowl every day: “What does the little princess want to eat today? Send word to all sixty commanderies to find it!”

The ministers: “Your Majesty, you weren't even this devoted when you unified the six kingdoms.”
