Mountain Foraging in the Seventies: A Rugged Hunter Supports His Lovely Wife

[Period + Mountain Hunting + No Golden Finger + Rugged Hero + Forced Love] The moment He Zheng opens his eyes, he finds himself in the body of a penniless, no-good hunter in the mountains during the 1970s.

As soon as he steps outside, he comes across a delicate young lady who has been labeled a rightist and sent down to the countryside. She has fainted in the snow from hunger.

Desperate to get a bowl of hot soup for her sick grandfather, the young lady grits her teeth and unfastens her padded coat.

He Zheng is a rough sort who knows nothing about treating a lady gently. He takes advantage of the situation and carries her straight back to his dilapidated thatched hut.

He promised her meat, but there isn’t even a weed in the pot. He ate the last handful of cornmeal last night.

Seeing the young lady cry and threaten to bang her head against the wall, He Zheng pins her to the kang. “Now that I’ve had you, you’re mine! Want to die? I’ll go pull your grandfather’s oxygen tube first!”

After delivering his threat, He Zheng heads into the mountains with his cleaver.

When he returns through the wind and snow with half a wild boar, he shoves a bowl of oily porridge up to her mouth. “Swallow it! I risked my life hunting this. Just try spitting it out!”

The young lady eats through her tears, and He Zheng grins. “The woman I’ve set my sights on isn’t getting away.”
