Fireside Chat

Franklin Roosevelt is the longest-serving president in the history of the United States. He took office in times of crisis and led the American people out of the two greatest crises of the 20th century, the Great Depression and World War II, with his outstanding wisdom. He is known as the most outstanding American president along with Washington and Lincoln. This book collects many "fireside chats" delivered by Roosevelt in various periods, from the first time he talked about banking issues in 1933 to the fifth time he talked about war fundraising campaigns in 1944, a total of 30 times. The talks covered a wide range of topics, including employment, finance, elections, war, legislation, energy and other issues, and were very rich in content.
