X Dragon Era: Dawn's Guard

X Dragon Era: Dawn's Guardians

She should have been trembling and crying in a dark, dry well. But he woke up in time, and her life from then on would be as bright as the light.

Lin Che, a modern-day reader, is transported into the world of X-Dragon Era after a car accident. He and the protagonist, Xin Yun, fall into the very same well where their fates begin, the well that swallows childhood.

But unlike Xin Yun, Lin Che wakes up a step earlier.

At the darkest moment in the original story, when Yi Luoxiang is drenched in fear and blood, Lin Che tears a strip from his clothes, shares his last half-piece of hardtack, and shields the dying little girl with the warmth of his palm.

From then on, the story's course shatters.

Yi Luoxiang no longer remembers “Who is Xin Yun?”

All she knows is that Brother Lin Che protected her from the wind at the bottom of the well, taught her to sing, and said, “Don’t be afraid. When dawn comes, we’ll go home.”

Her Spirit Butterfly is no longer born for battle. It blooms instead in a garden glistening with morning dew, healing the injured and soothing nightmares, until she becomes the “Saintess of Light” whom countless people admire.

And Xin Yun, armed with memories from being reborn, discovers that the person he cherishes most is now standing behind someone else, smiling as she calls, “Brother Che!”

He tries to win her back, but is gently and firmly turned away. “She’s tired today. She won’t be seeing outsiders.”

This is neither a power-up fantasy nor a story of fighting over treasures.

This is a gentle revolution about “protection.”

True strength isn’t claiming the throne of the Dragon God. It’s making sure the person you love never has to cry. This is a completely original fan work that borrows only the world and basic setting of X-Dragon Era. Its main plot, character relationships, and central conflicts have nothing to do with the original.

Fans of the original, please don’t flame me!!!

If you’d like to read about a girl who is truly “cherished,” rather than merely “needed,” welcome to X Dragon Era: Dawn's Guardians.
