Come Back When It Gets Dark

【Mutual firsts # Angst # Youth and future interwoven # Love triangle】 【The animated series She Never Came Back is coming soon, a companion story to Sisters】 Lin Xia woke up one day to find that she had transmigrated into the future. The former rival who used to be at odds with her now looked at her with sorrow furrowing his brow. Every nightfall, Lu Zhaoye waited eagerly for her to appear. Lin Xia looked at him with contempt. “You used to fight me like your life depended on it, and now you’re pining for me just as desperately. Where’s your pride?” Lu Zhaoye knelt on the ground and pressed her hand to his cheek. His face was alight with the joy of having her back, brimming with longing and reluctance. His eyes reddened. “Xiaxia, it’s getting dark. Now that you’re back, could you please stay?” Fu Yunshen never imagined that Lin Xia would disappear less than a day after he finally succeeded in confessing his feelings. For ten years, he searched the entire world, but never found a trace of her. Later, Lin Xia returned. But for reasons beyond her control, she was inseparable from her old rival. He accepted it with a heavy heart, yet still couldn’t keep her by his side. In the end, night fell, and she never came back again. His whole world collapsed. “Lin Xia, since you’re cruel enough to never see me again, this time, when night falls, I’ll send my soul to find you.”
