Wildfire Is Untamable, Your Light Becomes My Cage

[Dual Male Leads + Secret Crush + From School to the Workplace + Rekindled Romance + Fiercely Protective Best Friend + Slow-Burn Tension + HE]

[Cold on the outside, warm on the inside, tsundere and easily flustered receiver × Cool, attentive, slow-to-warm, awakening pursuer]

On the night of their high school graduation, Lin Ye left with red-rimmed eyes and said, “The wind is free… and so are you.”

Then he turned and walked away, leaving all his tears to the darkness.

He thought it was the end, never knowing it was only the beginning of Ruan Chen's descent into obsession.

At university, just as a gentle upperclassman starts getting close, that oblivious cool guy finally gets jealous.

Bringing breakfast, saving him a seat, fiercely fending off admirers, Ruan Chen presses closer at every turn: “I won't let anyone else get near you!”

Years later, they meet again at work. Lin Ye is now the decisive project director of the Spark Project.

And Ruan Chen has become a powerful client with authority in his hands!

At the project site, Ruan Chen pulls him into his arms, his voice obsessive: “You've been avoiding me for so long. This time, I won't let go!”

Su Yao, his domineering businesswoman best friend, swoops in to protect him and slams a hand on the table: “Mr. Ruan, we can discuss the partnership, but not the person!”

On one side is a fiercely protective best friend; on the other, an obsessive powerhouse moving carefully at every step.

What was the misunderstanding between them all those years ago? In this workplace game of cat and mouse, who will fall first?

Wildfire is hard to tame, but only you can bring peace; dawn becomes a cage, and we will never part in this life.

Note: This is a somewhat slow-burn story, with the relationship unfolding gradually and a lasting emotional payoff!
