Fifteen Days in the Two Capitals: I Sacrifice My Entire Clan to Heaven to Win Merit

In the first year of Hongxi’s reign, Crown Prince Zhu Zhanji is assassinated in Nanjing. His fate is unknown, and the Ming Dynasty is on the verge of upheaval.

Wei Changyuan, a Ming history enthusiast, transmigrates into the body of the second legitimate son of the prominent Wei family in South Zhili.

From the start, he’s trapped in a hopeless situation: his family has allied with the Prince of Han in a plot against the throne and arranged the assassination of the crown prince. To clear their names if the plot fails, they plan to force poison down the throat of Wei Changyuan, the neglected legitimate son, and pass him off as a scapegoat who “defied his family out of righteous conviction”!

A father who favors another son, a legitimate elder brother who watches coldly, and a stepmother holding poisoned wine with a sneer.

Wei Changyuan laughs, knocks the poisoned wine aside, and tears up the bed board. Hidden beneath it is the crown prince, whom he rescued, covered in blood!

“Father, if the crown prince cannot return to the capital and ascend the throne within fifteen days, the realm will fall into chaos.”

“But now, I’ll use the heads of the entire Wei family to mark the crown prince’s road back to the capital!” (This story is entirely fictional. Do not treat it as authentic history!)
