Hogwarts: Hermione Studies, I Get Stronger

[One Female Lead: Hermione] [System] [Leveling Up] [Light Novel] [Top Student]

Elliot Thorne is eleven years old, a half-blood wizard whose mother has just died and whose father has been missing for years.

The only keepsake his mother left him was a stone.

After the stone grew hot in his hand for five seconds, a System appeared in his mind.

The System told him he needed to bind himself to a Host, and that the Host’s growth would be reflected back to him at a proportional rate.

Simply put, the stronger she became, the stronger he became.

The person chosen by the System was Hermione Granger, a Muggle-born girl.

Her magical potential was below average, but her aptitude rating was S-class.

Fewer than ten people in history had ever received an S-class rating.

The most recent was Dumbledore.

The problem was, Hermione had no idea she’d been bound to a System.

She only thought she’d suddenly become a little smarter, learned a little faster, and developed slightly better instincts.

She believed it was the result of her own hard work.

Elliot didn’t tell her the truth.

He knew there were some things he couldn’t say.

He knew some things would have to wait until she was strong enough.

He also knew that from this moment on, every bit of progress she made would make him stronger.

And one day, she would become the strongest student at Hogwarts.

He would watch from the sidelines and ride her coattails to success.

“Why are you always helping me?”

“Because you deserve it.”

What he didn’t say was: because you’re the most important investment of my life.
