Where the Evening Isle Returns: Dr. Lu Fell for Me, So There’s No Escape

[Amnesia + devoted couple + feel-good revenge + a little angst before the sweetness + tearing the jerk apart + divorce and reconciliation + happy ending]

A designer who starts out as a hotheaded amnesiac and turns into a little ray of sunshine + a cold, stubborn neurosurgeon who gets his comeuppance

Ling Qingci lost her memory. When she opened her eyes, seven years of her life were gone. During those seven years, she had changed from a warmhearted ray of sunshine into a hothead. She lost her brother, dumped her best friend, got married, had a child, and filed for divorce. Her once-whole family was left in ruins, all because of a jerk who swindled her out of her money and made her fall for him.

After forgetting those memories, Ling Qingci instantly broke free of her lovesick state.

The jerk came begging for forgiveness. “Get lost! Trash belongs in the trash can. That's where you belong!”

Lu Yu was about to walk away when Ling Qingci grabbed him and clung to him like a koala, sobbing, “No! You got me involved, so now you have to take responsibility. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you.”

Lu Yu sneered. “Ling Qingci, I'm not a toy you can call over whenever you want and toss aside whenever you feel like it! I have someone I like!”

Later, with red-rimmed eyes, he pinned her against a corner wall. “I'm the one acting pathetic, okay? I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you.”
