Liu Deli, an utterly ordinary office drone born in the 1990s, unexpectedly transmigrates to a parallel planet called Blue Star.
Technology here is advanced, but the food culture is grotesquely warped. A fat pig is raised just for its tongue, while the rest is so revolting even dogs won't touch it. A fresh fish is valued only for its lips, and the body is thrown away as garbage. Spinach and cabbage are fed to livestock, wild ginseng is stewed like a carrot, and cordyceps is a child's snack. Diamonds and gold are used to pave the streets, while high-tech products are sold by the pound like wastepaper.
Meanwhile, instant noodles, prepackaged meals, ham sausages, and cola, all considered junk on Earth, are luxury goods on Blue Star. A packet of instant noodles that costs three yuan can buy a house!
At the same time, Liu Deli discovers his body has changed during transmigration. With a touch, he can instantly determine whether any item is genuine, how old it is, and what it is worth. And with a simple inspection of any illness, a prescription automatically appears in his mind.
On the day he transmigrates, he's beaten up for being a vagrant scavenging garbage. The next day, he trades a packet of pickled-cabbage instant noodles for an entire commercial skyscraper.
How will a man who crawled out from beside a dumpster use Earth's “trash” to tap into Blue Star's trillion-yuan market? When trade between the two planets fully opens, the rich of the world go mad.
“Master Liu, I found this in a thousand-year-old tomb. Would you take a look?”
“Get lost and take a number!”
