Lu Feng is a typical spoiled rich kid, spending his days loafing around and causing trouble, getting into fights and squandering his family's money. After repeated attempts to discipline him prove futile, his family finally reaches their limit and pulls some strings to send him into the army, hoping the strict military discipline will shape his character. Lu Feng resents military service intensely. When he first arrives at recruit camp, he struggles with the grueling training, repeatedly talks back to his instructors, and dodges drills. He becomes the camp's “troublemaker” and a particular focus of his instructors' attention. During an emergency wilderness march, Lu Feng gets separated from his unit and attacked by wild animals, leaving him trapped in a desperate situation. To save himself, he accidentally activates the Special Forces Sign-In System and barely escapes with the rewards it provides. From then on, he begins his rise from “good-for-nothing recruit” to promising special forces candidate, eventually passing the assessment and joining the Lightning Marten Special Forces Unit.
