Bright Moon, My Beloved

Cheng Nanqiao, the neglected legitimate eldest daughter of the Duke of Xin’s household, is forced by imperial decree to marry in someone else’s place. She becomes the wife of Xu Qingyan, Marquis of Ruyang, whose notorious reputation as a wife-killer precedes him.

Everyone says she is a pawn, a sacrifice, and that marrying him means a lifetime of loneliness.

Xu Qingyan, too, sees this marriage as yet another set of shackles. He is cold and distant, drawing a clear line between them.

Little does he know that her bright, lively spirit will be the first spark of warmth to enter his quiet life. And he, steady as a mountain, will become the one shelter she can depend on amid the storms.

From treating each other with icy courtesy to growing close and cherishing one another, they join hands as husband and wife, quelling turmoil within the family and weathering crises at court.

When the secrets of the past come to light, what horrifying truth lies beneath the rumor that he is a wife-killer?

Watch as this clear-eyed, resilient young lady and her deeply devoted, long-suffering marquis turn a seemingly hopeless game into a splendid match, and vow to grow old together.
