Chief Lu Is Spoiling His Little Elf Again

Lu Huaian is the chief at the provincial meteorological bureau, a no-nonsense data obsessive who believes neither in superstition nor fate.

One day, while working overtime, a girl fell right out of his screen and landed on his desk.

Her name was Qingyue. She was a weather forecast sprite who could summon wind and rain, and turn his home into a disaster zone.

She blew up the kitchen, and Lu Huaian cleaned up.

She washed a wool sweater until it shrank to a child's size, and Lu Huaian bought a new one.

When she got mad, she'd summon a little black cloud to follow Lu Huaian and drench him. He'd wordlessly open his umbrella and cover her first.

A coworker secretly filmed him crouching on the balcony to tie Qingyue's hair and asked, "Chief Lu, can't you stand up to her for once?"

Lu Huaian glanced at the little tyrant in his arms, busy shopping online on his phone.

"Stand up to her? She can turn our home into a localized thunderstorm."

She was his exception, and he was her sunny day.
