In her previous life, the fake heiress Shen Mingzhu pushed Shen Niannian down the stairs. Only as she lay dying did Shen Niannian learn the truth: she was the real heiress.
Reborn at the very moment she was pushed, Shen Niannian grabs the fake heiress and pulls her down the stairs instead, then immediately calls 110:
“Hello, I'd like to report a crime. Someone tried to murder me.”
When the police arrive, Lu Jin, the criminal investigation team captain leading the case, sees at once that something is off about her. “You're hiding something.”
Shen Niannian offers no explanation. In just three days, she makes Shen Guoliang kneel in public and acknowledge her as his daughter, and sends the fake heiress to prison.
Lu Jin corners her against a wall. “Who are you, really?”
Shen Niannian rises on tiptoe and whispers in his ear, “Your future girlfriend.”
Later, someone asks Lu Jin, “What kind of person is your girlfriend, anyway?”
Lu Jin smiles. “She can catch the people I can't. She can solve the cases I can't. She's the craziest woman I've ever met, and the one I most want to marry.”
