Xu Mingzhu opens her eyes and finds herself in an ancient romance novel, The Chief Minister’s Cherished Wife, as the wicked female antagonist.
From the start, she’s forcing herself on the male lead, and she’s so terrified she nearly dies.
The original Xu Mingzhu was a compulsive gambler who used a past favor to pressure the male lead into marrying into her family. She relentlessly pursued him and made life difficult for the original heroine. In the end, she was disgraced, dragged her entire family down with her, and met a miserable fate as they all became cannon fodder.
The future big shot despises her, and it all starts tonight.
She abruptly lets go of the male lead.
“If you don’t want to, then forget it.”
To save her own life, Xu Mingzhu does everything she can to avoid the death-flag plot, stay away from the leads, focus on making money, and become as hard to kill as possible.
Later, she achieves both fame and fortune, becoming one of Qingzhou’s most influential figures and leading her cannon-fodder birth family to the top.
She no longer clings to him every day, fussing over him and whispering sweet nothings in his ear. She doesn’t sidle up to him to say suggestive, clingy things, either. She’s determined to divorce him.
She thinks that once they’re divorced, she’ll be able to cut ties with the male lead for good.
But after a colleague brings her home one day, Song Ci pins her hard against the door.
The scholar, usually so cool and composed, has completely lost his bearings. His eyes are bloodshot, his voice hoarse.
“Did you think I was dull and boring, so you divorced me just to bring in that man who excites you as your live-in son-in-law?”
Xu Mingzhu tries to explain.
But he seems to have gone mad, leaving haphazard marks on her neck as he roars,
“Xu Mingzhu, you were the one who welcomed me into your home as your live-in son-in-law. Even if we divorce, I’ll be yours for the rest of my life. If you dare find someone else, you’ll have to kill me first.”
Xu Mingzhu: “???”
That’s not how the original novel went!
The plot is quite exciting, and I actually quite like the male supporting actor Laiko. In the early stage, the male protagonist didn't like the female protagonist when she didn't wear it. After the female protagonist came through, he was conquered by the heroine's personality charm. Maybe the male protagonist is more knowledgeable, so he is the male protagonist.
Author: Originally, you were going to give up if you didn't write about the heroine's success and separation from me... Finally, an author clearly stated that he should respect the heroine's ideas...
The plot is quite good. I really like the interaction between the female protagonist and the people around her. Why is she just so-so to the male protagonist? I just want to watch the female protagonist hehe.
It's rare to find a book that I could read from beginning to end. It doesn't have too many intrigues, not so many twists and turns, and the relationship is not sloppy. The plot is more of a daily pastoral, simple yet interesting! Still worth seeing
It's super, super, super good. ^0^ I started watching it this morning and watched it until around 11pm. I didn't want to sleep, but I wanted to finish it, so I skipped halfway through and saw the ending. The heroine is really, really, really, really, really awesome. She can do anything. It can also be seen that the author is really awesome and understands everything. The writing is so descriptive that you can really relate to it [Sparrow Food Masterwork]
It's a tie. It's a rare article that can be read from beginning to end without skipping chapters. Add a bookshelf [please update]
It's very good-looking. I really didn't like the male protagonist at first, but I started to accept it as I watched it. The plot is really touching, and I burst into tears watching it. Maybe my tears were low, but it's really good-looking, but it's just too little, not enough.
I think I've read it before, and the writing is okay, but the cooking process is very simplified. It can be seen that the author is not focusing on this point, but on the story.
It's great. I like the plot where the male protagonist and the female protagonist are together the most. The author will update it soon.
The plot of this book is different from others. The heroine in this book is about divorce, and the hero doesn't want to leave. The second male lead, Li Leizi, is really kind, good to both the original protagonist and the female protagonist.
