Su Wan, the Village Tailor

In 1982, young seamstress Su Wan catches her fiancé cheating on her to climb the social ladder. Faced with his smug insistence that she should “know her place,” Su Wan breaks off the engagement on the spot, settles their debts, and lands a major contract to make uniforms for the transport team on her own merits! She thinks she can focus on building her career and making a fortune from then on, but instead she meets the fearsome “Living Yama,” Zhou Tingshen. Their many encounters during fittings make the aloof, proud, rugged team captain fall for her. From testing each other’s intentions to becoming each other’s closest companions, Zhou Tingshen carefully wins her heart and cherishes the little seamstress. Together, they build a thriving life in the 1980s.
