Jungle Shadows: Elite Soldier of the Vietnam War

As the old saying goes, “To wage war, you must know yourself and your enemy. Only then can you win a hundred battles without danger.”

During the 1979 self-defense counterattack, the Battle of Lang Son began with a series of preliminary engagements. The 55th Army used a combination of assaults and surprise attacks to seize Dong Dang, the forward shield of Lang Son, and destroy its formidable “French fortress.” Before that, however, Han Zhenshan led a reconnaissance team deep behind enemy lines. Their intelligence on the Vietnamese troops’ deployments at Dong Dang, obtained at the cost of their lives and blood, opened this strategic route to Lang Son.

This novel faithfully depicts the combat details of Han Zhenshan’s reconnaissance team as they infiltrate behind enemy lines. A tribute to every battle hero.
