Synopsis

Shen Qing transmigrated into the role of a vicious supporting female character. In the original novel, she died in prison in Chapter Thirty without ever meeting the protagonist. But the first thing she did when she woke up wasn’t cry. It was to confirm one thing: this world was wrong. Seven corpses from different dynasties lay at the bottom of the lake. Glowing runes crawled across the lanterns. The rules she wrote would spontaneously gain an extra line. Even her closest maid looked at her as if trying to figure out, “How is she still alive?” This wasn’t a book. It was a prison that had been reset again and again. Later, she met Xiao Yan, an awakened “NPC” like herself; Xie Yunshen, flagged by the System; and Jiang Yu, who could read code. They told her: You’ve died twenty-two times. Every time, your memories were wiped and you climbed out of the lake again. Every time, you died before Chapter Fourteen. And this time, you’re on your twenty-third round. Shen Qing looked down at the cracks in her palm. They were the key left behind by the twenty-two versions of herself who had come before. She would enter the core of the System, pull out the seven nails, and free every name erased from the walls. This world said, “NPCs don’t deserve to live.” Shen Qing said, “If I’m alive, I’m no NPC.” She wasn’t trying to escape. She was going to tear the entire prison apart with her own hands. Twenty-three cycles, twenty-two corpses, and one person who refuses to disappear.

Please Recommend Stories Where the Heroine Transmigrates into a Book as the Villainess and Doesn't Follow the Plot!!

I absolutely don’t want stories where the heroine has to follow the original plot. If she transmigrates into a supporting female character and has to stick to the plot, she can’t do this or that, and might even get punished by the System if she does. It feels so frustrating. So I’m looking for stories where she doesn’t follow the plot.

Looking for Novels Where the Protagonist Watches the Story Unfold Without Interfering, Just Lazing Around and Enjoying the Gossip

Any era is fine, including Qing-era romance. The protagonist transmigrates into a book and follows the plot without going out of their way to cause trouble or demonizing the original leads. Romance or no romance is fine, as long as the protagonist isn't love-brained.
