[A cast of villains + poaching + harsh reality + desperate counterattack + Western wilderness]
The northwestern wasteland, in the 1990s.
Chen Shan, the poaching boss, thinks his only enemies are guns and wolves.
Until a wealthy man in high-end hunting gear, wearing a gentle smile, arrives in this lawless land.
The rich man doesn't want animal pelts. He wants “a thrill.”
Corrupt cops hand him a list, and bullets clear the grounds for him.
A bloody hunt targeting poachers begins.
When Chen Shan's brothers start becoming “missing persons” one after another,
when the hunting rifles finally turn and point at them,
only then does Chen Shan understand:
On this wasteland, human lives are no different from animal lives.
They're just chips in a rich man's game.
“Run, wild dog.” The rich man's voice comes over the radio,
elegant as if he were savoring a glass of red wine.
Chen Shan spits out the blood in his mouth
and lights the last bundle of explosives behind him.
“Then none of you are leaving.”
“Your lives will pay for my brothers.”
