I Faked My Death for Twenty Years, and Now Li Er Begs Me Not to Rebel

As the Sui dynasty gave way to the Tang, Li Jinxiao single-handedly crushed eighteen rebel kings and earned the title “The Tang Dynasty’s Number One Beast.”

On the eve of the Xuanwu Gate Incident, he sought the pinnacle of martial arts by drawing heavenly lightning into his body, then faked his death and was buried in the imperial mausoleum.

Twenty years later, the Tang dynasty is in its golden age under Zhenguan.

Li Jinxiao bursts out of his coffin. Just after returning to Chang’an, he sees Fang Yiai, the son of a fierce general who once served under him, being trampled in the street by Princess Gaoyang. Worse, she is openly flirting and carrying on with the demonic monk Bianji!

Li Jinxiao, fiercely protective of his own, flies into a rage, his fury scorching the heavens!

One slap, and the beloved Princess Gaoyang is disfigured, screaming in agony!

One blow of his hammer, and the demonic monk Bianji is reduced to a cloud of blood!

The whole city is horrified, and three thousand Imperial Guards seal off the streets.

Emperor Li Shimin is livid. He leads the imperial army himself, vowing to tear the madman limb from limb.

But when Li Shimin sees the figure before him, as terrifying as a demon god, the emperor’s sword clatters to the ground, and his knees go weak.

“F-Fourth Brother?! You weren’t struck dead by lightning back then?!”

Li Jinxiao grips his blood-soaked twin hammers and sneers, his voice shattering half the street. “Li Er, I’ve been asleep for twenty years, and you call this court, with cuckolds as far as the eye can see, a golden age? Starting today, I’m making the rules of this Tang dynasty!”
