Great Ming: Sentenced to Death from the Start? The Sky Screen Urges Me to Take the Throne

In the fifteenth year of the Hongwu era, Zhu Xu, the sixth prince of the Ming, is stripped of his title and exiled to the frigid lands of Liaodong.

Five years later, court officials frame him for building up his own military power. Zhu Yuanzhang flies into a rage and orders the Embroidered Uniform Guard to lock Zhu Xu in a prison cart and bring him to the capital for execution!

At the execution ground, the executioner’s blade hangs overhead. The officials jeer, while Old Zhu coldly issues the order to carry out the execution.

At the brink of life and death, a sky screen descends with a thunderous roar, presenting a list of [China’s Greatest Emperors of All Time] from the start!

Instead of starting with Qin Shi Huang or Emperor Wu of Han, it immediately shows the glorious life of Zhu Xu, the discarded son of the Ming!

On the sky screen, Zhu Xu builds an invincible army in Liaodong, bombards the Northern Yuan court, rides roughshod over the Holy Roman Empire in Western Europe, and sends his fleet sweeping across the globe, forging an unprecedented Ming Empire on which the sun never sets! High-yield potatoes, the Industrial Revolution, and other world-defying trump cards shock the world!

The officials who had just been demanding Zhu Xu’s execution are so terrified that they collapse to the ground.

Old Zhu watches his son command awe across the world on the sky screen and regrets it bitterly. He rushes to the execution ground without even putting on his shoes and stops the blade. “My dear son, your father was wrong. I beg you to take the throne and rule the Ming!”

In shackles, Zhu Xu looks at the weeping Zhu Yuanzhang with utter indifference. “You exiled me for five years, then tried to execute me as soon as I got to the capital? Sorry, I’m not taking the throne!”
