Hunting in the Countryside: From the Start, I Cut Ties with My Family and Sent Them All to Labor Camp

In his previous life, Lu Zheng was mercilessly bled dry by his awful relatives. His uncle’s family wanted to steal his coveted job placement, so they drugged him with a powerful sedative and even planned to sell his four-year-old sister, the only family he had, to a deranged old bachelor in the neighboring village!

When he opened his eyes again, he was back in 1978, at the foot of Changbai Mountain.

Overthinking? Not a chance!

Given a second life, Lu Zheng flipped the table without hesitation. He gathered hard evidence and fired off a signed accusation letter. From the start, he sent his uncle’s entire family to prison, where they could enjoy free room and board while working the sewing machines!

After cutting ties with them for good, Lu Zheng took his four-year-old little sister and a disabled retired military dog deep into Changbai Mountain’s primeval forest, where temperatures plunged to minus thirty degrees.

The whole village mocked them, waiting to see the siblings get chewed down to scraps by a black bear.

But a few months later, the entire village was stunned.

In the dead of winter, while villagers fretted over their meager rations of coarse cornmeal, Lu Zheng was stewing a century-old wild ginseng with pheasant in a mountain cabin. His four-year-old sister was giggling as she rode on the back of a two-hundred-pound wild Northeast tiger, and the yard was lined with rows of wild boar and roe deer!

When they saw the cartloads of bicycles, radios, and bundles of cash Lu Zheng had brought back from the mountains, the villagers turned green with envy and begged him to take them along so they could get rich.

Lu Zheng wiped down his double-barreled shotgun and sneered. “Get lost. My big cat hasn’t had its fill today!”
