The Nth Time She Bowed Her Head in the Bitter Wind

【Campus Romance | Love at First Sight | Heartbreaking Romance】 I first saw him in the cafeteria. The moment he walked through the door, wearing a mask and a hat, he seemed distant and cool. Yet his eyes were dazzlingly bright as he quietly looked at me. Just one glance, one glance was all it took to trap me in years of clear-eyed infatuation and pain. Outside the dorm in the cold wind, I bowed my head again and again. I lost count of how many times we broke up and got back together. I often wonder if I owed him too much in a past life, and was born in this one to repay the karmic debt between us. Once we had settled our accounts, everything would be over. “Don’t you think you’re being ridiculous?” “It’s not like I asked you to treat me well. You were the one who insisted on it.” “What’s the point of dredging up something that happened ages ago?” This isn’t the kind of sweeping romance you read about in novels. It’s just the story of an ordinary person who knows there’s no happy ending, yet stubbornly keeps getting in too deep. Young love is clumsy and humble by nature. There’s no decisive letting go, only endless hurt and resentment, and the inability to give up, so you keep holding on. Love itself is irrational. Only clear-headed people can avoid the pain of love. I’ve never liked being called love-crazed. I’m just someone who sinks into love with my eyes wide open.
