After transmigrating as Sun Wukong’s senior fellow disciple, Zhou Xuan vows that this time, he will be the one to protect the Great Sage.

But when he finally breaks out, the first thing he sees is a frail, wasted figure beneath Five Finger Mountain.

Zhou Xuan’s eyes redden on the spot. One punch brings the mountain crashing down, the Gatie wail, and the Tathagata’s manifested form staggers back three steps!

Sun Wukong stares blankly for a long moment before croaking, “Senior Brother, that Tathagata made me suffer so much…”

Zhou Xuan brushes the dust from his hands. “Don’t be afraid. Your senior brother is here.”

From then on, Zhou Xuan turns the pilgrimage to the West into a training ground for rebelling against Heaven and striking down Buddha!

He leads the monkeys in beating up Spirit Mountain, helps Zhu Bajie rebuild his true canopy marshal body, and gets Nezha to kick Li Jing straight into the underworld.

Yang Jian, Red Boy, Black Bear Spirit, Six-Eared Macaque, Green Ox Spirit… The whole rebellious crew gathers in force!

And they even have the God of Wealth bankrolling them!

Heaven’s magical treasures? Seize them! Spirit Mountain’s vow power? Take it!

In these Three Realms, Heaven can’t control him, and neither can Tathagata!

Zhou Xuan stands with his hands behind his back atop the firmament. “Gods and Buddhas of Heaven, who dares take a single palm strike from me?”
