A Song of Woven Lanterns

In Gusu, Jiangnan, Su Dengwan, the owner of the Su family's lantern workshop, guards the shop alone and raises her younger brother. In truth, she is the sole inheritor of the former dynasty's secret treasure, Ode to Woven Lanterns.

The powerful minister Qin Song covets the lantern manual and seeks to control the realm. He sends his lackeys to seize it, while her wicked relative, the Liu family, takes the opportunity to rob her of her property, driving her step by step to the brink of despair.

Luckily, the badly wounded scholar Fu Qingci takes shelter in her workshop under the pretense of a contract, concealing former members of the Shadow Guard. The fierce martial hero Lu Jingheng also appears in secret, using his strength to protect them.

She unlocks the lantern manual's secret arts: using light and shadow illusions to evade pursuit, sending coded messages to foil conspiracies, and discerning truth from falsehood to identify treacherous officials.

As turmoil rises in the capital, the three head to the imperial city together. Using lanterns to enter the palace, they make ten thousand lights illuminate the crimes, ultimately exposing Qin Song's evidence of guilt to the world.

The powerful minister is brought to justice, the wrongful case is cleared, and the two male leads give up their high positions to live in seclusion. She keeps one lantern lit, illuminating the enduring warmth of everyday life.
