“Zhou Jiayu, what are you doing here?” Zhou Jialin came out of Room 306 carrying a new pair of sneakers and eyed him suspiciously. The person inside heard the commotion and turned around. Su Huaijin didn't rush to pull his clothes back on. He simply looked at him quietly, the corner of his mouth lifting almost imperceptibly. “I, I...” Zhou Jiayu stammered. He snatched the sneakers from his brother and rushed for the stairs. “You're welcome!” “What are you even talking about?” Zhou Jialin frowned and looked toward Room 307. “What were you doing just now?” “Changing clothes.” Su Huaijin straightened his clothes. “We're all guys changing clothes. What's there to be so scared of?” Zhou Jialin muttered. Zhou Jiayu rushed downstairs and glanced up at the dorm room. He reassured himself that he must have seen it wrong. His phone began to vibrate. Bzz. Bzz. Bzz. He lowered his head stiffly. The screen lit up as one WeChat notification after another popped up. The moment he opened them, Zhou Jiayu's heart sank. In the photos, a silver chain gleamed in the light, its pendant resting against the taut skin of his waist. Worst of all was the last photo: a slender finger hooked around the pendant, with a small strip of black underwear visible below. A message appeared beneath the photo: “Baby, are you sure you still want to break up?”
