Synopsis

A nepotism hire? A pretty face? No. I’m a god you can’t afford to provoke. On my first day parachuting into the Beast Battalion, everyone assumed I was there to coast on a cushy assignment. Then I used a silver needle to pull a comrade back from the brink of death, took down eighteen male soldiers with a single move, and crushed the veteran troops in a CQB exercise. They asked who I really was. I said, “I live near the sea. I’m here to relax.” I hadn’t planned to interfere with the tragedies from the original series. But then Xiang Yu fell from the balance beam, popped his own shoulder back into place, and gritted his teeth as he ran the whole course. I heard him say, “I don’t have a habit of quitting halfway.” In that moment, I remembered that people had once called me a “god,” too. Everyone thought gods couldn’t hurt, couldn’t get tired, and didn’t need anything. Later, beneath moonlight rippling across the sea, silver-white hair wound around his wrist. For the first time, he didn’t push it away. He asked her to give their relationship a name. She said yes. This time, the God of War didn’t need to fire that signal gun again. Because someone had caught him. And she, as it happened, no longer wanted to be alone. “Feathers in the deep sea, carrying the light home.”

Recommend Some Smart Film and TV Tie-In Stories

I'm looking for books similar to *Comprehensive TV Worlds: The Supporting Female Lead Gets a Golden Finger*. I don't want the kind where the emperor sees someone once and then dotes on her to the exclusion of everyone else in his harem. I want stories where everyone has a brain and their own troubles, and they're all people pushed along by fate. The characters should be written consistently, without deliberately making anyone look bad...
