Synopsis

Rules for Surviving the Underworld

1. The living must watch their words: Speaking in the underworld will “leak your yang energy.” The more you say, the faster it drains away. Speak more than three sentences, and the ghost officials will be able to see you.

2. Don’t eat underworld fare: The scent of red spider lilies will cause hallucinations if you smell it for too long. Anything sold in the underworld is tainted with yin energy. Eat even a bite, and you’ll lose ten years of your life.

3. The rooster’s crow marks the boundary: You must return to the world of the living before dawn, when the roosters crow. Otherwise, your soul will be “entered into the register” of the River of the Dead. Your body may remain in the human world, but you’ll be no more than a walking corpse.

4. Don’t look into underworld mirrors: The water and mirrors in the underworld show not your face, but what you’ll look like after you die. Stare too long, and you’ll become that very image.

5. Keep your distance from ghosts in red: Most ghosts wearing red died unjustly and harbor deep resentment. If the living approach, the ghosts will “borrow their yang energy” to prolong their own existence. At best, you’ll fall seriously ill; at worst, you’ll die on the spot.

Rules of the Yin-Yang Bus: A Tale of the Strange

- This bus only runs on the fifteenth day of the seventh and tenth lunar months. Anyone who boards it at other times is considered “fated to be here.”

- Do not look back after boarding. If you do, you’ll see your own corpse in the world of the living.

- Do not change seats at will. Your place has already been assigned by the “underworld official.”

- If the passenger beside you speaks to you, reply, “I don’t understand.” Never lie: ghosts can hear your heartbeat.

- Pay your fare when you get off: one coin from your remaining years, or one memory. If you have neither, leave your name behind.

I Give Up, If There Aren't Any More Good Danmei Stories, I'll Write One Myself

Every character nowadays is a possessive, crazy yandere. For heaven’s sake, can’t there be one normal person? Are normal people not allowed to fall in love? I need a book that comforts my soul, not one that emotionally destroys me. Please, I’m begging you. Stop rubbing my brain against the ground.

Two Male Leads, Both Strong, and a Sweet Romance

I want books similar to Vodka and Methylamine. I truly love stories with two male leads who are both strong. The charm of mature men is incomparable. I cannot handle angst at all, but I can accept occasional angst as long as the ending is happy 😁😁😁 Do not recommend heterosexual romance. Can you not understand? Male-male romance only.
