(No romance, pets do not transform, pet-catching, training)
Lin Kai is a homebody college student.
“Crispy Shark” is his motto. His life has been full of misfortune: first, he got stranded outdoors during extreme weather, then he came down with pneumonia during the pandemic. He was lucky to survive, and just a few days ago, he broke a toe while playing with a cat and ended up in a cast.
No major disasters, just a whole lot of little mishaps.
He recently had to travel somewhere, so before setting out, he went to the Taoist temple near his home to draw a fortune. It said “great luck.” The old fortune-teller told him the journey would go smoothly and that he was destined for great things.
Lin Kai was pleased. Of course he was exceptional, a true dragon among men. The old fortune-teller really knew how to read people.
Then he walked out of the temple and was immediately hit by a heavy truck, which sent him to another world. Who says that doesn’t count as a smooth journey? Though he wondered if the old man’s prediction about his future was any more accurate.
