Also known as: The Strange Tales in the Paintings
[Two female leads + supernatural mystery + ancient and modern settings + episodic stories + unconventional plot]
The worst painting-spirit master in history × a beautiful girl who escaped from a painting. She picks up a “wife” from the start?!
In this era, a botched painting can be fixed. But if the spirit within a painting is disturbed or scattered, it’s gone for good.
State-certified “painting-spirit masters” are all artistic darlings, except Xuan Ru. She’s the notorious bottom of the heap at work, and her only redeeming quality is her sunny attitude.
Until one day, while she was in the warehouse grumbling at a pile of paintings, a girl dressed in ancient clothing tumbled out of one of them.
“My name is A Jing. I’m your… um… destined one?”
Xuan Ru: ??? I’m calling the police! (Just kidding.)
The problem was, the girl refused point-blank to go back.
And so Xuan Ru was forced to take in a “transmigrant.”
Warning! It takes courage to watch Xuan Ru’s livestream.
While everyone else restores paintings behind closed doors, she livestreams her repairs to “painting spirits” for the whole internet!
At first, the comments were all jeers: “Here’s another one pretending to deal with ghosts!”
[Ding! Entering Two Joyous Immortals. Save the princess’s ghost, trapped for a thousand years!]
[Ding! Entering Three Warriors Killed with Two Peaches. Free three men who sacrificed themselves for power!]
…
After Xuan Ru really did restore one haunted painting after another during her livestreams,
her viewers were left stunned: ??? This isn’t how the script is supposed to go! She can really fix them?!
“Painting-Spirit Restoration. I’m Xuan Ru, the worst painting-spirit master around, forced to save ancient paintings with a ‘transmigrant’ in tow.”
(Note: No body-double trope, no golden finger. This whole story exists purely as an excuse to have dumplings with vinegar~)

From the author's "teaching her about duplicity", I felt it was very delicate. After reading this book and catching up on the update, I saw that the different two female protagonists are really a very special subject. It is developed based on the historical background and gives different meanings. It allows us to see the different meanings of the historical background, especially the chapter about Dong Shi's imitation. We have all been confused by the surface for too long, but we have forgotten that female power, women belong to themselves, and are not someone else's resources and comparison objects.
It's beautiful, and the subject matter is very new. I've never seen this in a double heroine. Each painting tells a story, which is quite contrary to the routine and a bit interesting. Come on, author!
I'm reading hard [working on the manuscript] and I've never seen a double heroine written like this. I don't know what to say for a moment, but I think it's not too bad after reading the author's previous books [Thoughts] I feel weird writing reviews. Every time I brainstorm for a long time, I don't know what to write. The follow-up review I wrote yesterday doesn't feel good today. . That's it ()
The setting is quite interesting, I haven't seen much yet, but if a real person's soul can be included in the painting, wouldn't that mean he could live forever?
It's a very interesting book
