(An idea I had in middle school, finished writing in high school.) Both leads are devoted to each other + youth + healing.
In Yuting County, a small town where rain falls often, two girls carrying their own burdens meet. Song Yang transfers from a big city, bringing with her an urban aloofness and sense of confusion. Zhang Zixuan, meanwhile, is the perfect top student in everyone's eyes, but hides wounds no one knows about. They meet during the damp rainy season, moving from cautious first encounters to growing closer. In classrooms, back alleys, and by the river, they search together for answers that belong to their youth.
A very good short story, very immersive. They all have an imperfect family, which can even be said to be the source of pain in their youth, but they grew up strong and had their own struggles. Their love is moist and silent. Although there are few descriptions of feelings, it can be clearly felt that two wounded hearts are getting closer to each other and healing each other.
It's wonderful. It showed me that I was confused, but step by step I was heading towards my end. It made me feel... Just be yourself.
