Siheyuan 1950: The Old Sixth Enlists and Makes Everyone Cry

[Period setting + courtyard house + Old Six System + passionate military service + Hong Kong crime saga + satisfying story of stealing other people’s opportunities]

Transmigrating to 1950, he becomes fifteen-year-old Xu Damao.

In a courtyard house where everything is being rebuilt and the scheming tenants are just starting to bare their fangs, Xu Damao awakens the **“God-Tier Old Six Resentment System.”**

Can he get stronger just by making people mad? Can he win lucky draws just by driving them over the edge?

And so, the whole courtyard’s way of life changes.

Jia Zhangshi wants to swindle the family out of its inheritance? He whips out a “Targeted Runs Talisman,” making her put on a public display of what it means to be a “spray warrior”!

Yi Zhonghai wants to guilt-trip him? Xu Damao slaps a huge accusation right back at him: “First Uncle, are you trying to bring back feudal clan rule?”

Jia Dongxu wants to go on a blind date with Qin Huairu? Xu Damao brings out the “Truth Spray,” making him reveal his sleazy true colors on the spot. Qin Huairu is so furious that she turns around and picks Xu Damao instead.

In these turbulent times, Xu Damao knows he needs to think big, so he slings his bag over his shoulder and signs up for the army.

By Lake Changjin, he becomes the “Midnight Landslide” in the eyes of the American troops. He steals their underwear, blows up their latrines, and doses them with laxatives, racking up one merit after another.

As the 1960s bring a changing tide, he receives orders to head south to Hong Kong.

From gangland punk to tycoon, from “Mr. Xu,” whom even Lui Lok salutes, to the uncrowned king who controls global technology.

Xu Damao: “I’m really just a passionate young man. It’s not my fault you’re all getting so mad you’ll burst a blood vessel…”
