Undercover in a Gang, the Boss Entrusts His Wife to Me

[Subverting Tropes + Everyone Reads Too Much Into Things + Undercover Agent + Gap Moe + Sweet Romance]

My name is Chen Fan, and I’m an undercover agent.

I’d been undercover in a gang for three months and had just figured out how it worked when the boss croaked!

Even more absurdly, before he died, he shoved a copy of “A Guide to Caring for the Boss’s Wife” into my hands and told me to look after her.

Me: ??? I’m here to take you down, not to be your housekeeper!

To keep my identity hidden, by day I’m a suit-wearing bruiser, using police academy tactics to crush the other gangs. By night, I transform into an all-around handyman, fixing the boss’s wife’s pipes, catching cockroaches, and making her midnight snacks.

Who knew things would get more and more ridiculous?

Underling A: “Brother Fan wiped out the Poison Dragon Society’s clubhouse overnight, all because they were keeping the boss’s wife awake! Brother Fan is so devoted!”

Police chief: “I sent you to collect evidence. How did you end up uniting all the underground forces in Tianhai City?”

The boss’s wife in name only blushed. “Brother Fan, you’re so good to me. When are we going to get married?”

Chen Fan was losing it. “Help! I really just want to finish my mission and go home! If I don’t wrap this up soon, I’ll have a second kid on the way!”
