Cynthia is the sole female lead. This is neither a mindless power fantasy nor a story about a guy surrounded by legendary Pokemon.
The Pokemon world is relatively realistic. The author has worked out the timeline themselves, so there may be some inconsistencies, but the author thinks it makes sense.
An ordinary boy from Donghuang sets out on a journey with the goal of becoming Donghuang Champion.
In Donghuang, he travels alone, accompanied by his Pokemon, and shares his everyday life with an online friend, Ice Cream Cone.
After making it to the top eight in the Donghuang League, he heads to Sinnoh.
Some parts of the story may be ambiguous, but there is definitely only one female lead. Feel free to leave suggestions. I read most of the comments; if I miss yours, I was probably too busy to get to it.
(The map will be expanded to two or three times the size of its real-world counterpart for the sake of plausibility. There won't be exact figures, so just enjoy it for what it is.)
