She also eats demons. Other people slay demons with swords. She uses her mouth, gobbling them down one after another with a satisfying crunch. One day, just as she'd finally found a demon and was licking her lips, someone suddenly lifted her up from behind. “Don't be scared. The demon is dead,” said a cold-faced man. Kana: “What?!” Who told you to cut off my dinner?! But the man's name was Fukuoka Giyu. Without another word, he carried her home, heated water for her bath, bought her pet toys (he was raising her like a dog), and dried her hair with a stern expression. Kana thought: Room and board included, free abs to grope. I'll stick around for now. Then the next day, the Master arrived. Kagaya Ubuyashiki looked at the steadily thickening barrier around the estate and immediately understood: this wasn't an ordinary fox, but a descendant of the nine-tailed spirit foxes serving Inari. Her barrier grew stronger through being loved. The more someone doted on her, the stronger it became. So the Master made a bold decision. He would have all the eligible Hashira take turns courting this fox spirit. Giyu's face darkened. Sanemi Shinazugawa scoffed, but secretly slipped her a rice cake. Kyojuro Rengoku proposed to her the moment they met. Muichiro Tokito came to stroke her tail every day. And then there was that demon named Doma, who looked at her as if he wanted to swallow her whole. Kana blinked. “Only children have to choose!” She'd never wanted to choose. She wanted them all!
