Island Life in the 1980s: After Joining the Army, a White Dolphin Brings Me Seafood

Su Wanwan transmigrates to the 1980s with the Four Seas Dragon Pearl. From the start, she faces a scheme by her abusive ex-husband, but she turns the tables, sends the scumbag to prison, and gets married on a whim to a stern Navy commander stationed on a remote island.

She thinks life on the island will mean braving sea winds and eating salted fish.

But on her very first night there, a typhoon hits. A wild white dolphin leaps onto the rocks, knocks on her window, and spits out a whole net of top-grade abalone.

From then on, her daily beachcombing takes a dramatic turn:

While everyone else gathers moon snails, she uses drops from the Dragon Pearl to direct killer whales to drive schools of fish weighing tens of thousands of tons into her nets.

Her backyard pond is home to exquisite brocade lobsters, and when she goes out to patrol the island, she rides a giant sea turtle that’s a hundred years old.

A casual dive not only brings up blue-and-white porcelain from a Ming dynasty shipwreck, but also exposes an enemy submarine that had been lying in wait!

The entire military district is stunned. “Is the captain’s wife really stationed here with the troops, or is she the Dragon King’s third daughter come down to earth?!”

As her gorgeous pearls and top-quality seafood take the country by storm, so does her romantic life. A gentle, refined overseas-returned research expert insists on marrying her, while a handsome, rebellious overseas shipping tycoon showers her with money to win her heart... Watching the men brawl on the beach, the stern commander carries Su Wanwan away. “Reporting to my wife: aren’t my eight-pack abs better than theirs?”
